LA SECONDE CHANSON d’UN  JEUNE BERGER

When the trees do laugh with our merry wit,
Lorsque les arbres rient avec notre joyeux esprit,
And the green hill laughs with the noise of it,
Et que la verte colline rit du bruit de celui-ci,
When the meadows laugh with lively green
Lorsque les prairies rient avec ce vert si vif
And the grasshopper laughs in the merry scene.
